The populace was 2,333 at the 2010 census.

According to the United States Enumeration Bureau, the town/city has a total region of 1.92 square miles (4.97 km2), of which, 1.89 square miles (4.90 km2) is territory and 0.03 square miles (0.08 km2) is water. The town became the seat of Spink County in 1886, following a six-year legal and political battle among a several Spink County towns.

As of the census of 2010, there were 2,333 citizens , 1,057 homeholds, and 593 families residing in the city.
